Free Mental Health Care Plan Online | Bulk-Billed by Qoctor

Important notice

Due to changes in Medicare rules from Nov 1st 2025, Medicare will no longer fund mental health plans, unless issued by a GP you’ve seen in person in the last 12 months. As Qoctor is fully telehealth-based, this means we are now unable to perform mental health plans or reviews of mental health plans.
We are disappointed to no longer be able to offer this service, as we know it was valued by many patients- it removed many barriers such as geographical distance, privacy concerns, and lack of local GP availability in regional areas. We are also mindful that some patients have symptoms that make it difficult to leave the house to see a GP in person, and the “fully online” option, from GP appointment through to telehealth psychology was a lifeline.
If you are negatively affected by this Medicare change, we encourage you to contact the Health Minister or and/or your local federal MP and let them know.

What is a Mental Health Care Plan?

A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is a document created by a GP that details your mental health needs and suggests suitable treatment paths, including referrals to psychologists, counsellors, or other mental health professionals. In Australia, people with an MHCP can benefit from Medicare rebates for up to 10 psychology sessions annually, making therapy a lot more accessible.
