Medical certificates
| Certificate | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Same Day Certificate | $14.99 | One day of sick leave, for the same day as your appointment |
| 1–2 Day Certificate | $21.99 | 1–2 days — can include yesterday, today and/or tomorrow |
| Standard Certificate | $27.99 | Up to 5 days, and can cover retrospective sick leave up to 5 days back, subject to the doctor’s assessment |
| Standard Plus | $34.99 | University special consideration forms and other third-party forms. Up to 5 days, backdatable up to 5 days, subject to assessment |
| GP Consultation | $49.99 | Absences longer than 5 days, mental health, more complex issues, or when you also need a script or referral |
Every certificate is issued by an AHPRA-registered Australian doctor after a genuine assessment, and is suitable for work, university or carer’s leave. If the doctor assesses that a certificate isn’t appropriate for your situation, they’ll explain why and advise the right next step.
Prescriptions and scripts
| Consultation | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Contraceptive pill script | $24.99 | New or repeat scripts for the combined pill or the progesterone-only (mini) pill |
| Common scripts | $29.99 | Acne, asthma, migraine, reflux, UTI, sinusitis, men’s health and more |
| Other repeat scripts | $31.99 | A repeat script for one or two of your regular medications |
| Full GP consultation | $49.99 | New medications, more complex issues, or three or more medicines |
The cost of the medication itself is separate and depends on your pharmacy. eScript delivery to your phone is free.
Specialist referrals
| Referral | Price | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Repeat referral | $29.99 | Returning to a specialist you’ve seen before |
| Change of specialist | $29.99 | You have a valid referral but need a different specialist |
| New referral | $29.99 | First time seeing a specialist, for a common condition we cover |
| New referral — cosmetic surgeon | $39.99 | A new referral to a plastic or cosmetic surgeon |
| Full GP consultation | $49.99 | A new referral for anything outside our common list |
There is no Medicare rebate on the consultation fee, but a valid GP referral is what enables your Medicare rebate when you then see the specialist.
GP appointments
| Consultation | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Full GP consultation | $49.99 | A complete appointment with an Australian GP by video or phone — for anything that needs a proper conversation rather than a single document |
Pathology and blood tests
| Consultation | Price | What it covers | Free follow-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| STI test — urine | $39.99 | Private Qoctor consultation for urine testing for common sexually transmitted infections | Yes |
| STI test — urine and blood | $42.99 | Private Qoctor consultation for broader screening across both urine and blood | Yes |
| Blood test for plant-based diets | $42.99 | Iron, vitamin B12, thyroid function, vitamin D and zinc — the markers most likely to run low on a vegetarian or vegan diet | Yes |
| Baseline glucose and cholesterol test | $42.99 | Fasting glucose and cholesterol, if you want to know where your numbers sit | Yes |
| Any other blood test | $49.99 | A full GP consultation — for broader health concerns and any other pathology you need | — |
These are focused tests, not general health screens. Each covers a specific, defined set of markers. If you want a broader check, or you’re not sure what you need, book a full GP consultation and the doctor will work out the right tests with you.
Free follow-up means that for the four focused tests above, if you want to talk your results through with a doctor afterwards, that appointment is included. You’re not charged again to understand your own results.
How it works
- Answer some questions online, then have a phone or video consultation with a Qoctor doctor.
- Once approved, download your pathology request form from your Qoctor account.
- Print it, take it to your local pathology collection centre and have your test.
- Results appear in your Qoctor account as soon as we receive them, so you can see them yourself.
- When the doctor has reviewed them, you’ll get an SMS.
In Australia you need to speak to a doctor to obtain a valid pathology referral — and it is that referral that makes you eligible for a Medicare rebate on the tests themselves.
What Medicare covers
Your Qoctor pathology request is accepted at all major Australian labs. Because it is issued by an AHPRA-registered doctor, the tests attract a Medicare rebate in the usual way, and most common blood tests are covered.
A small number of tests sit outside the Medicare Benefits Schedule — typically less common vitamin levels and specialist biomarkers. Where that applies, the lab charges for those tests directly and will tell you the cost before your blood is taken. The Qoctor consultation fee is separate and is not Medicare rebatable.
Action plans for children
Australian schools and childcare providers usually require an action plan for children in their care with asthma, allergies or anaphylaxis, so that symptoms can be recognised and treated properly. Qoctor doctors can assess and issue these for children aged 3 and over.
| Action plan | Price | For |
|---|---|---|
| Asthma action plan | $31.99 | Children diagnosed with asthma |
| ASCIA allergy action plan | $31.99 | Children with mild to moderate allergies |
| ASCIA anaphylaxis action plan | $31.99 | Children with a diagnosis of anaphylaxis |
| Anaphylaxis action plan + autoinjector script | $36.99 | Includes a new prescription for an adrenaline autoinjector such as an EpiPen |
Same-day appointments are usually available. Sign up, answer some questions online, have a short video consultation, and if the doctor approves it your action plan is available to download straight away.
Action plans follow the ASCIA templates used by schools and childcare providers across Australia. All plans are subject to the doctor’s assessment.
Dedicated services, powered by Qoctor
Some health issues are straightforward and easily dealt with in a quick online consultation. Other areas require additional time and follow-up, such as perimenopause care, sexual health and weight management.
We built dedicated services for them — each with doctors who focus on that area, longer consultations, and review appointments available whenever you need them.
All are part of the Qoctor group and staffed by AHPRA-registered Australian doctors. None uses a subscription. You book an appointment, pay for that appointment, and that’s it.
Doctors for STI Testing — bulk billed with Medicare
$0 with a valid Medicare card. Sexual and reproductive health consultations are exempt from Medicare’s usual requirement to have seen the practice in person first, so you can book as a new patient. Follow-up appointments are bulk billed on the same basis, and standard STI tests are covered by Medicare at bulk-billing collection centres — so in most cases there is nothing to pay.
Private appointments are also available for people without Medicare; check the dedicated service for current private pricing.
Doctors for Menopause
A longer consultation with a doctor experienced in women’s health. Your symptoms are assessed against your full history, treatment options are explained, and eScripts, pathology requests or referrals are issued where appropriate.
| Consultation | Price |
|---|---|
| Initial consultation | $199.99 |
| Review consultation | $99.99 |
No programme fees, membership or ongoing commitment.
Doctors for Weight Loss
A proper weight-management consultation helps determine which blood tests are worthwhile, whether you meet the eligibility criteria for available treatments, and what fits your history and health risks. Review appointments let your doctor adjust the approach as you go.
| Consultation | Price |
|---|---|
| Initial consultation | $89.99 |
| Review consultation | $59.99 |
Optional extras
| Extra | Price | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Priority booking | $19.99 | Skip the queue and be seen as a priority, usually within about 15 minutes |
| Pharmacy Concierge | $9.99 | We send your script directly to your local pharmacy for same-day pickup and call ahead to confirm the medication is in stock |
Both are optional. Neither is added unless you choose it.
